Good morning!
So ive now had a chance to surf both boards several times now and get them dialed in...so as i promised, im excited to provide some feed back.

5'8 retro fish:
This board is a blast! ive surfed it in ankle slappers all the up to around head high. it gets in super early and is the fastest board ive ever surfed. the shape just fits in the wave so nice...definitely the funnest board i have. it likes more of a smooth carving turn than a snappy one, which fits into how i surf perfectly. id say it shines on big mush...you can just surf all over the wave, connecting across the flats is a breeze. no need to generate your speed. super fun board.

5'10 round pin/fish combo:
ok...so everything ive heard about the spiral vee is true. it tends to hang up a bit in softer stuff....but, when it gets bigger or punchier, it absolutely comes alive! its coming to rica with me this wednesday! ive been running it with a twin/trailer combo love it. it is super responsive...it just does what you want. i was worried about how it would perform in bigger surf at first until that big swell we had at the beginning of june. it was definitely a good decision. i like it so much better than my old regular short board. it paddles better, gets into waves earlier and can handle late drops with no problems. its surprisingly forgiving too. ive burried the rail a couple times and expected to face plant but was able to recover without too much effort on my part.
Anytime theres a little bit of punch to the surf...this is my go to board.

overall i am very happy with your products. im sure i will have years of fun on both of these boards. service provided was first rate all the way. you have a customer for life. im sure ill be back when its time for a new toy :)

Tom... the board you shaped me - the 6'2" super fly, it did not dissappoint. However, I did not get to surf it for a couple months as I put 2 fairly sizeable dings on the left rail at Point in the NE after it came to rest on a set of rocks. On my second ride on it no less. The leash cord came loose of all things. Anyway a friend of mine expertly repaired it and you can hardly notice it. Got to put it through its paces in the OBX last month on a clean head high + day for 4+ hours and I could not believe the speed I could hold on it. So thanks again, and just to let you know that you will have my business for all future board purchases.

Hey Tom,
I wanted to give you an update on that blue blue. It came out pretty sick looking with the dark blue. Ive been riding it a lot recently and its probably one of my favorite noseriders that i've ever ridden. The rails feel so good and actually seem to stabilize the board when noseriding. I really all around like how the board came out. The pinlining came out really sick too, kinda reminds me of an a Hobie.The board works really well. Tommy seemed to like it a lot too when he tried it.

Hello Tom,
The new board is great.
I had a chance to ride it in marginal surf a couple of Fridays ago and I was very happy with the performance (speed) in those conditions.
Better yet was Christmas Day, I rode it for two hours in the morning in a larger swell with some wind on it (slightly blown out conditions). To my surprise that evening the conditions cleaned up and in glassy waist to chest high surf the board turned on and I had some great waves.

Holy cow man,
I took the board out in ******* yesterday. The thing is FAST!
I was paddling in to waves I had no business catching before. The extra speed helped me connect sections better than ever. Gonna try it as a twin next time I ride it. Rode it without a pad, probably going to put one on.
Being a bigger dude I was a little nervous that I had gone too short, but it floats/duck dives perfectly. I could not be more pleased with the board.

Hi Tom,
Well I wanted to wait until I got a few go outs on the new board before sending you an email. First, I've got to say thanks for taking the time to talk to me about what was best for me. Now I have two of your boards to round out my mini-quiver.

And now for the feel of the new board. Most of the spots I surf up here are right points and I am goofy. The first couple of sessions I kept digging the rail and having a hard time feeling the board. I gotta say though that the water is in the low 30's and the air is below freezing making surfing quite difficult. Finally, I got a good clean day and started to get the feel for the board. I have been doing the first big backside turns ever on this board. It paddles great and catches waves with ease. The best day I've had so far was last weekend. It was head high Victory at Sea conditions beach break -really reminded me of a good day in Florida. It was also the first time I got to go frontside. Man what fun. I had a lot of control and speed. I can definitely make sections now that I could never make before. My confidence is improving.

I had an opportunity to catch some clean, chest high peelers at O Ave the other day with my new Neilson longboard. I can say 2 words - UN REAL! The board worked exactly what I envisioned. Quick and fast. I could run to the nose and wrap my toes around the tip and still turn it. I was doing turns I haven’t done since I gave up my shortboard 15 years ago. Another magic board added to the quiver.
